The Best Summer Job A Girl Could Ask For.

This is where I've worked for the last 5 (YES 5!) summers. Sometimes I get a little embarrassed when I say I'm a college graduate, 23 years old, scooping ice cream but then i remember, this is the best job ever and that feeling goes away.

Welcome to Millers 38 Flavors! Located in beautiful Fort Saskatchewan Alberta, Millers is home to 38 delicious flavors of FootHills Creamery Ice Cream and many flavors of fresh frozen yogurt.

This is the flavor sign. We also are now proud to carry Maple Pecan, Strawberry Sorbet, Raspberry Sherbet, No Sugar Added Caramel Crunch, Coconut Cashew Fudge, and Orange Float. My favorite's are Mint Chocolate Chip and Espresso Fudge.

This is how we are told to greet all customers, and being the excellent employee that i am, I do it every time.
This one little sign netted me about 600 dollars in tips from May to June, 2007! Now I have one up saying all my tips go towards a new wardrobe and i'm not exactly getting the same response......haha.

It is recommended that you bring a book to work in case of slow times. But it is only permissible to read after everything is stocked and the store is clean. Here I am reading The Nanny Diaries, which is perfect for me because in my spare time, I also work at the local hospital and am a nanny for 2 great little girls! In my spare spare time, I read to blind children, visit the elderly, translate the bible English to unknown dialects, weed my neighbors gardens, and give away money.
Its fun working with Mollie. Shes my cousin and we get along great. Here is a photo of her doing 3 things wrong. 1. Eating on the job. 2. Sitting on the counter and 3. Not working.

We recently got Sirius Satelite Radio and we looove it! Here is Mollie dancing, one of our favorite work pastimes.
While it looks super fun, its not all play and no work. Here I can be seen trying to get the outerness off the 2 ice cream pails in order to change what looks like Burgundy Cherry. One arm gets slightly more muscular than the other during the summer. We call it, scooping arm.

If anyone is in the Edmonton Alberta Canada area, stop by for some quality ice cream in a friendly family environment. If my bosses aren't around, I'll give your entire family free ice cream! They love it when we do that.:)

I'll have the cotton candy because I have heard from a certain Miller's employee that it has an actual "cotton candy ripple" through it.
I love this blog but can you please update it more?! It reminds me of when you sent me your middle school diary entries while I was in Haiti because I needed reading material. You are such a fun, hilarious girl Ame and I need more of your life tidbits in my life. I love you and miss you and am going to send you a big fat long huge email in the next couple days. Ugandanbffskis.com for life!
Love, Auntie Waycho
